Repack your own cylinders and save money!
We've got some awesome deals going on right now in our Aluminum Hydraulic Cylinder category. If you've got some positions with leaky cylinders, you may be able to save a ton of money by buying re-packing kits. We've got a great selection of seal kits to fit Boydstun style and Cottrell style cylinders. We've also got an awesome tool that will make repacking your cylinders a whole heckuva lot easier. If you've ever wrestled with trying to get a seal to go into a cylinder eye nut properly, you know exactly what I'm talking about. We've priced them low, because we want everyone to get one. Once you get yours, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it (Kind of like fax machines and cell phones). Anyway-- main thing to pay attention to is your cylinder rods-- if they're rusted or pitted, don't bother trying to re-pack 'em-- the rough surface is just going to tear up the new seals. I've heard of a lot of guys getting charged $100 or more to get one cylinder re-packed. If you buy the re-packing tool and the cylinder kit for your cylinder, you can do it for a fraction of that cost! (Plus, you'll probably have your truck up and running with a fraction of the downtime you'd get waiting for someone to do it for you!)
