If your cylinder rod isn't rusty, you could save a lot of money by re-packing the seals on your piston, end cap and eye-nut. Save money by recycling-- how cool is that?

Please note: this is for a 1.5"  rod diameter.  (the chromed inner piece)  If you have an older Boydstun unit, you probably have 1.25 inch diameter rods.  Please measure your rods before placing an order.

According to Sonny Goldsmith, our factory rep:

Most repair shops make their own u-seal removal tool by taking a flat blade screw driver and grind the ends of the flat blade round so they do not score the metal and then use the screw driver to “pry” under the u-seal and get it out of the groove.

For easier installation, especially the seals in the cylinder eye nut (top), you should really get the installation tool that we've got in related products below!
