Nov 2013: I just spoke to a customer that decided to try out the graphite over a year ago, but forgot the can on a shelf until recently. He was very impressed of how easy it was to stir it up again, without any "gumming up" on the bottom of the can etc. like some other brands do. It pays to have better ingredients!!
Protect your investment with Slide N Glide Graphite. Sold by the case only. Quarts come 6 to a case. Ships regular UPS. Asbury is the OEM supplier for Cottrell auto transport trailers. The formulation we sell has the new mineral-spirit base which goes on easier than the old naptha base. Asbury recommends that you schedule your maintenance so that you can let it dry overnight for maximum durability. (Treat it the same way you'd treat paint-- you want to let it REALLY dry before you do too much with it.)
Price is for a case of 6 quarts of Asbury Slide N Glide.
Yes, we know you've used Slip Plate brand graphite lubricant for years. We have no quarrel with Slip Plate. It's great stuff. If we could get you a deal on Slip Plate, we'd probably jump right on it. Hell, if I could get you a deal on Classic Coke, I'd do that too. Thing is, Slip Plate doesn't care about getting more distribution. Slip Plate is doing just fine selling through companies like CF Bender. Slip Plate is not interested in anything remotely similar to Factory-Direct Savings. Slip Plate distributes their graphite for auto transport trailers exclusively through CF Bender, and that's fine. CF Bender spends a lot of money making sure they've got plenty of Slip Plate on hand for car haulers, so Slip Plate is actually doing the right thing giving CF Bender an exclusive deal. We're just making the case that graphite lubricant technology has come a long way in the past few years, and a lot of guys are saying they prefer Asbury's new formula to Slip Plate. No exaggeration. And that's before we even start talking about cost savings, longevity, etc. So we don't want anyone thinking we don't like Slip Plate. Slip Plate is great. Classic Coke is great. But sometimes when Pepsi is on sale, I buy Pepsi. When I pour it in a glass, the kids don't even complain. They say, "Dad, can I have some more of this delicious Coke?" And I say, "NO, you're too damn hyper as it is, and I still owe the dentist a thousand bucks."
