Low Profile Grip/Tread-Grab Sleeve. Works on any of our naked straps, or other bare 2" straps. Does the same thing as the old school three rubber tread grabs/rubber cleats, but uses less space. Some European car companies are now preferring that haulers use these, over the old rubber cleats.

Full Description
2 ft long by 3 inch wide sleeve features rubber on bottom, that will help gripping the tire.
Smooth interior allows 2 inch strap slide easily once installed on the strap.
For first time use/installing the sleeve on the strap, we recommend using a yardstick or similar, to help the strap push through.
(or buy one of our "Lock Out Kits" in the towing section. Idea from one of the reviews below)
This one is great to use on vehicles with big wheels that do not have much space between the tire and the wheel well.
We have lots of great feedback from customers hauling everything from BMW's to supercars, that these grip sleeves, is the way to go.

I really prefer these sleeves over the blocks, they are easy to install, wrap the strap over a broom handle and they push through the sleeve easy enough. will be ordering a second set in the near future.

I’ve been using the sleeves for the past three years, it is by far the best way to secure your car, any one of the straps would hold the car as it holds in both directions, I use these to tie down my road race car which runs slicks all the way around and they still grip very well even without any tread. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to firmly secure their car, then again who wouldn’t… Right

I bought a Vanderhall autocycle which has a very narrow opening between the fenders and tire making the standard basket strap too big to use. The tread grab sleeve worked perfect and held the tire in place while on the tow dolly. Great product. Sales lady was very helpfull in forwarding my shipment to the location I was traveling to for use on the trip home.

Excellent product. Sticks to the tire in transit and almost have to peel off the tire.
I use my 4' lock out kit "rod" (meant to slide through narrow opening to unlock car from inside) to install on my naked diamond weave straps I bought in the past.
Thin enough rod that I double over a 3" section of diamond weave strap over the end of the rod and push right through the sleeve. Rod extracts easily.

I do like these better than the rubber blocks, they are thinner and one piece that doesn't slide down when trying to strap down a tire. When putting them on a strap the strap will get stuck about halfway through tread grab sleeve, so I used a big pry bar with a bent flat end to stick inside the sleeve down past the strap that I am trying to insert, then spin the pry bar so that the bent end faces the strap and then just pull the strap up through the sleeve with the pry bar while holding the sleeve with the other hand.

These sleeves are a must have for the rear of the newer Porsches where the old rubber blocks just won't fit.. they grip like velcro..

I haul my Honda GL-1800 Hannigan trike to Florida for the winter with limited clearance between tire and fender, these low profile sleeves are perfect!

Much better than rubber blocks on race tires and much easier to install in limited tire clearance vehicles. Cannot beat these and simple to install. Use a broom handle and the strap pushed right through.

Love them! Easy to slide the old block off and install these sleeves. I used a wire coat hanger, opened straight. Slide the wire through the sleeve and pull the strap back through. Just make a small hole in the end of the strap for the wire to grab. Once the sleeve is centered on your strap, it is very easy to center over the tire. They stay tight on the tire and are easy to remove.
