This design allows you to get more leverage, and use your body weight to tension the ratchet, because you're PULLING to tension it, not pushing. (please don't over-tension). These straps are nice! Get alot more tension on it without having to put yourself in a bind or use a bar to get it tight. Going to be using these from now on.
