If you are using anything longer than a 28" bar on a strap truck with built in strap winders, you are not gaining anything, but you risk premature wear of the straps.

If you insist on using a longer than 28" bar with straps, you will see that the strap starts wearing out at the hook end. If your straps start showing wear at the hook end, you need to immidiately stop using the strap and replace it.
