These are awesome for you guys with repo trucks, where you need to be quick, and don't have time to worry about dragging the arms!
How Does the L-Arm Protector Sleeve Work?
It's very simple. If you've been around towing equipment for more than ten minutes, you know that on auto-loaders, the L-Arms are one of the highest wear points in the whole system. There's no way to avoid dragging those things across asphalt, concrete, and gravel. Over time, they wear out and need to be replaced.
How Does the L-Arm Protector Sleeve Save You Money?
Add up the parts and labor cost at the tow truck dealer. The L arm parts alone will run you $300-$400 a side. Then add onto that the shop labor rate. Then there's your truck's downtime and lost revenue.
With the L-Arm Protector Sleeve, you have a heavy-duty square tube that slips over your OEM L-Arms and is held in place by a drill-tipped hardened set-screw. (see photos). As one side of the L-Arm Protector Sleeve starts to get worn, all you need to do is loosen up the set-screw, take the sleeve off and rotate 90 degrees so that a fresh side is facing the ground. You have all four sides of the L-Arm Protector Sleeve to take the abuse, not the original L-Arm itself..
Steel Loop Version vs. Hole Version
This is the steel loop version. We also have a version with a hole drilled in the end for a finger hook if that is how you prefer to position your ratchet.
This will not fit the bent arm of the Chevron. Will fit all the other wheel lift arms on the market.

This is an expensive problem to fix when it happens to the original L-Arms that came with the auto loader. These L-Arms are toast! This was a "Century" bed wheel lift.
