As the pictures clearly show, the aluminum handle is larger and more solid; the frame is thicker; the S pins that assemble the mandrel are a larger diameter; it weighs close to a half pound, some 20% more. All-in-all, a more robust ratchet.

I have just put them in service and feel they are a bit thinner than previous ones I've used. The price was right so I feel fine with my purchase. They wear out eventually so if replacements are needed it won't break the bank. They're doing the job now.

I prefer the orange straps. It seems that the yellow ones are thinner and I hope they last as long as the orange straps.

Our Big Orange line of straps are made extra heavy duty with a webbing we have specially made for them. So you are right about the yellow straps being thinner.
The yellow straps are made with a 12,000lbs break strength webbing, so they are made with a quality material

These are amazing! These are perfect for moving SUVs with larger tires or jeeps with oversized tires. The rubber blocks are able to move more along the straps than the shorter ones I've bought previously. Quick to get on and ratchet down. My only issue is the handle is lightweight and feels cheaply made. On my shorter straps I've bought from this company, the handle is heavier, stronger made, and feels better. Overall they are great straps. I would buy again.
